The Lockport Township High School District 205 Board of Education is looking to fill a vacancy following the resignation of a board member on December 16, 2024. The appointed individual will serve until May 2025.
Applicants are required to submit both a letter of interest and a resume or curriculum vitae outlining their qualifications. Submissions can be made by mail or in person at the LTHS D205 District Administrative Center, addressed to Kathy Maxwell, or via email to kmaxwell@lths.org with the subject line "Board of Education Vacancy." All materials must be received by 4:00 PM on January 3, 2025.

Eligibility criteria for candidates include being a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, a registered voter, and having resided in Illinois and the district for at least one year prior to appointment. Additionally, applicants must not be child sex offenders as defined by law.
Letters should provide personal information such as name and contact details; the number of years residing in District 205; any leadership roles held within the community; professional and educational backgrounds; reasons for interest in joining the board; and goals for the school district.
