Kenneth M. Moyer, 91, of Orland Park, Passes Away Peacefully

Kenneth M. Moyer, 91, known affectionately as Ken, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Born and raised in Souderton, Pennsylvania, Ken attended college in Wheaton, IL, and lived in various locations including Glen Ellyn, Plainfield, Lockport, and wintered in Englewood, Florida. For the last four years, he resided at Smith Crossing in Orland Park. Ken owned and operated a State Farm Insurance Agency in Norridge, IL until his retirement in 1997. He was a dedicated attendee of Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park and enjoyed watching Chicago sports, playing golf, and tennis.

Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Duane K. Moyer, his son Eric Moyer, his father Jay Warren Moyer, his mother Miriam Nyce, and his brother-in-law Ronald Warren. He is survived by his devoted daughter Juli Polino, granddaughter Jessica Polino, two brothers, Clare Moyer and David Nyce, and three sisters, Caroline Speakman, Debbie Walker, and Janice Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or Parkview Christian Church would be greatly appreciated.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport, IL 60441, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow the service at Barnett Cemetery in Lockport, IL.
