LTHS Board plans bond sale for campus maintenance without raising taxes
William Thompson Director Of Facilities Management | Lockport Township High School District 205

The Lockport Township High School District 205 Board of Education is set to vote on March 17 regarding the initiation of essential maintenance work at Central Campus. The board plans to finance this work through the sale of Life Safety Bonds, which will not impose an additional tax burden on property owners.

Superintendent Robert McBride shared that a consensus was reached during a recent meeting of the Facilities Master Planning Council. The council, consisting of community members who meet monthly to advise the board, agreed with the direction regarding the $15 million in Life Safety Bonds and committed to a Long Range District Master Plan led by DLA Architects.

Community members reviewed and discussed the board's statement on these bonds, offering their feedback and perspectives. More information can be accessed through the LTHS website.

Robert McBride expressed gratitude for the ongoing partnership and support from parents and guardians as efforts continue to ensure that LTHS remains a successful learning environment for all students.
