Roberta D. Molony, Retired Deacon from Lockport, Passes Away

Roberta D. Molony, a retired Deacon from St. John the Evangelical Episcopal Church in Lockport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was 83 years old. Molony, born and raised in Chicago, was a resident of Lockport since the early 1990s. She was a member of various organizations including the Vivekananda Vedanta Society of Chicago, the Heritage Quilters Guild in Lockport, and the Lockport VFW Post #5788 Ladies Auxiliary. Molony is survived by her husband William Molony, daughter Jeanne Roberts, granddaughter Haley Roberts, stepdaughters Kim Torres and Maureen Molony-Rathbun, step grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. Cremation Rites were carried out as per Molony's wishes. A Memorial Visitation will be held at O’Neil Funeral Home on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with a Memorial Mass scheduled at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00am. Inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.
