Cangelosi Sparks Baseball has announced that Steven Pellack, a former first baseman at Trinity Christian College, will manage a 9U Sparks team for the upcoming 2025–2026 season. Pellack's collegiate career includes playing at Triton College in 2007 and 2008 before moving to Trinity Christian College in 2009 and 2010. He earned All-Conference honors each year and was named NCCAA Player of the Year – North Central Region in 2009. That same year, he was also recognized as an NCCAA All-American.

Pellack is not only known for his baseball skills but also for his experience as a high school teacher with 15 years of service. He lives in New Lenox, Illinois, with his wife Deanna and their children Mason and Tenley.

Speaking about his new role, Pellack said: “My coaching philosophy is centered on fostering a lifelong love for the game of baseball while guiding players in the development of proper skills and a strong foundation. I believe that when players enjoy what they’re doing, they are more motivated, engaged, and eager to improve. My approach emphasizes fun, learning, and growth—on and off the field."

He further added: "I take a hands-on approach to coaching, working closely with players to ensure they are progressing each year. I encourage them to trust the process and focus on steady improvement rather than short-term results. Above all, I prioritize the physical and mental well-being of each player. While winning can be a rewarding part of sports, my true measure of success is in helping young athletes grow in confidence, character, and competence."

Pellack expressed enthusiasm about joining Cangelosi Sparks Baseball: "I am excited to join the Sparks and carry on a winning tradition!”
