Bo Jackson's Blast Softball program is entering a new phase with the appointment of Kara Agne as the Director of Softball. The program caters to girls aged 8U-18U and aims to enhance player development, competitive performance, and team culture.
Kara Agne, originally from Yorkville, IL, played softball at Yorkville High School and Purdue Northwest University. She brings her experience as a player and coach to this role. Alongside her career as a kindergarten teacher, she emphasizes education and personal growth in her approach to coaching.
Under her leadership, the program will focus on individual skill development and teamwork. Training sessions occur twice weekly from November through April. Half of these sessions are dedicated to individual skills such as hitting, fielding, pitching, and fundamentals under Kara's guidance. The remaining sessions focus on team strategy led by head coaches.
The program is expanding its reach by seeking players and coaches who wish to advance their skills with improved training facilities and support.
