Eugene W. Bottorff, 93, US Air Force Veteran, Remembered in Lockport

Eugene W. Bottorff, aged 93 and a US Air Force Korean War Veteran, peacefully passed away in Lockport with his daughter by his side. A Chicago native raised in Lemont, Eugene was a dedicated employee at Corn Products Refining for over 25 years, but his true passions lay in model-making, woodworking, gardening, and being a devoted Cubs fan. Above all, he treasured time spent with family, particularly his grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Bottorff, children Debra Carroll and Charles Eugene Bottorff, parents Charles and Estelle Bottorff, and sister Dolores Sorg. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Sandy (Jim) Ferry of Joliet, three grandsons, Eric, Adam, and Jason, and four cherished great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the O’Neil Funeral Home Chapel in Lockport, with services following at the same location. Deacon Kevin Ryan will officiate the service, with Interment at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Lemont.
