Fairmont School District is inviting families and community members to participate in its Strategic Planning Process. The initiative aims to set the district's direction for the next three to five years by aligning priorities and resources with the needs of students, families, and the community.
The planning meetings will focus on reviewing the district's current state, identifying areas for improvement, and establishing long-term goals. Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts on academics, student services, and community engagement.
Two strategic planning meetings have been scheduled. The first meeting will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., while the second meeting is set for Monday, November 25, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held at Fairmont School District 89 Cafeteria.
Following these sessions, teachers will provide input during staff meetings. A preliminary plan will be presented at the February Board Meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. The final plan is expected to receive Board approval on March 19, 2025.
Dr. Tamela Daniels and the Fairmont Administrative Team emphasize that "your voice is essential in this process," encouraging participation to develop a "clear and actionable plan that supports the success of all students."
Community partners are requested to RSVP by Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.
