A public hearing to discuss a proposed property tax levy increase for Fairmont School District 89 is scheduled for December 18, 2024.

Fairmont School District is inviting families and community members to participate in its Strategic Planning Process.

The Joliet Township Government is set to host a presentation titled "Sanando Juntos: Apprendiendo sobre el trauma a cualquier edad." The event aims to enhance community understanding of trauma, explore healing methods, and foster resilience. This presentation will be conducted in Spanish but is open to all members of the community.

Fairmont residents affected by the storms from July 13 to July 16 can now apply for disaster assistance in person. The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is open at 2455 Glenwood Ave, Joliet, IL 60435.
