Fairmont School announces upcoming Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is set to arrive at Fairmont School, offering an opportunity for families to engage with their children in selecting new books. Research indicates that children tend to read more when they choose their own books, fostering a love for independent reading which can enhance academic success and improve mental health.

Principal Elisabeth Patton said, "Many of us still remember the rush of finding the perfect book at a Scholastic Book Fair. I hope you’ll join your child at our school’s Fair and share a reading experience they’ll remember forever. "

The Book Fair will be held from February 10th to February 13th during the following hours:

- Mon., Feb. 10th: 8:30am-3:00pm

- Tues., Feb. 11th: 8:30am-3:00pm; 4:00-7:00pm

- Wed., Feb. 12th: 8:30am-3:00pm

- Thurs., Feb. 13th: 8:30am-6:00pm

The location for the event is the Fairmont Library.

Parents are encouraged to set up a Book Fair eWallet, a digital payment account allowing children to shop without cash. The eWallet link can also be shared with friends and family for adding funds.

An initiative called "Share the Fair" invites contributions which will support students needing assistance in purchasing books from the fair.
