The Lockport Township Park District has announced a Black History Month Celebration Event, inviting the community to engage in a day of learning, reflection, and celebration honoring Black history across different eras.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 15th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Fairmont Community Center located at 525 Barry Ave, Lockport, IL.
In collaboration with Lewis University and various local government agencies, the celebration aims to bring history to life through interactive activities and resources.
"A day of learning, reflection, and celebration as we honor Black History - Past, Present, and Future," said the invitation from the Park District.
