The recent meeting of the LTHS District 205 Board marked a significant occasion as new and re-elected members were officially seated, and new officers were appointed. Additionally, the Travis family was honored for their 50 years of continuous service to the board. Charles Travis served from 1975 to 2015, followed by Della Travis from 2015 to 2019, and Michael Travis from 2019 to 2025. A commemorative plaque was presented in recognition of their family's contributions and commitment.
Following the certified results of the April 1 election, several individuals were sworn into office: Ann Lopez-Caneva and Michaelene O'Halloran for two-year terms; Candace Gerritsen, Tammy Hayes, Lou Ann Johnson, and Wendy Streit for four-year terms. Veronica Shaw administered the Oath of Office.
The board then appointed its officers: Dr. Veronica Shaw as President, Ann Lopez-Caneva as Vice President, and Candace Gerritsen as Secretary.
